CICADA I-V

Frame-mounted textile art
These little artworks are the result of a styling exercise I did in the studio to sharpen my creativity. They are five different ideas that explore the possibilities of a cicada fabric designed by Rashida Coleman-Hale for Cotton and Steel.

Cotton and Steel’s fabrics are designed in the United States, but made in Japan, which gives them a wonderful quality.

Dimensions: 12 x 12 inches (30 x 30 cm)
Materials: Cotton, linen, cotton thread, mounted on canvas and wood canvas.
